The House (Not open to the public)

No research has been done on the history of the house but the square central block suggests itself as of Queen Anne or early Georgian origins. The bows on the principal ground and first floor rooms are probably late Georgian additions forming part of a process of 'enlarging' the house which was continued by the Victorians with shallow additions to the front, north side and the now demolished extensions at the back of the house
Circa 1760
The current owner has completed extensive internal renovations and modernisations of the house and garden over a thirty year period   including the addition of an Orangery on the south east corner in 1982
The estate is also the proud owner of a fully restored Gwynne 8 motor car circa1920 which is used within the family for short leisure trips and has been very useful for shuttling Bride and Groom away after a summer evening of revelry.
Many people in the village have had the opportunity for a chauffered spin around the rural circuit as an added attraction to the fete....so book early  !
